This is because light type is covered by fighting. You need to remember that this is Japan and that language subtleties aren't translated easily. The Dark type is not dark like evil, but dark as in thieves and sneaky. As such, it is weak to the fighting type(the honorable type, samurai, etc etc).
The effectiveness of dark against psychic is explained in that psychics in game don't have end all be all power. They need to focus on their target to use their powers. This is why they are weak to dark, bug, and ghost. Dark types are midleading so they are difficult to target since they hide in the shadows. Bugs suffer from hive mind, and ghosts are the spirits of the dead.
So a light type? Not likely.
Not saying the picture isn't cool. Just talking about the the 'light' type
without the light type it wouldnt add up
and I also will make blood, food, sound, galaxy,( magic and sex) types and they also would make no sense
